Wow. So there’s well over a foot of snow piling up outside my window. I should be at the mountain, but like a chump I’ve got this throat cold. Hurray for communal living. Nevermind though. The big deal that I’m sure you’re more interested in hearing about went down this past Saturday: the Northeastern Organic Farming Association’s annual winter conference.
Over 750 people—including twenty-plus Green Mountain students—made their way to Randolph, Vermont for NOFA’s 25th anniversary where an array of enlightening workshops, the world’s largest, most local and delicious potluck, and the saving grace of the US Senate, Bernie Sanders, was in attendance.
I myself attended a workshop that was focused on making hard soap, an art I’m hoping to apply to the byproducts of my entrepreneurial endeavor: Prudent Fuels, Inc. What’s that you say? “What’s this Prudent Fuels nonsense?” I suppose it is about time I got around to telling you about my aspirations and tribulations concerning biofuels in this bustling metropolis of Poultney (and eventually the world!). Stay tuned...

A most beautiful cake paying homage
to NOFA's fat old 25th birthday.

Check out those good little GMC kids
