So it's been a long and cold winter, and as such, many of us haven't been able to travel to the Poultney river, which graces GMC's land with its presence (as well as separates VT from NY). A few of us decided to weather the muddy elements yesterday and become reacquainted with the beautiful river...
The water was definitely the highest I've ever seen it, but it made the experience that much cooooler, as it seemed to be a completely different world:

Though at first I was just planning to go down with my boyfriend, a whole group decided to join us, including Ben's guitar (he's holding it in this picture) and our friend's new dog (you can just barely see his head over Sara's shoulder). The other people in this picture are Chelsea and Nathan.

Becky came along too, and while Chelsea was playing around with the camera (she was considering being an art education major for a while, but I think she's a psych major now) took this AMAZING shot. I really enjoy it. It looks entirely professional.

Of course, along the way, I had to play in the mud a little. This goes out to my little sister, Samantha.

I just like this picture. I look so goofy.

As we spent more time relaxing down by the Poultney, the sun slowly began to sink and we got colder and colder. So we started making our way back to campus. Brent and Toby (a friend from home) took a little extra time to enjoy the river, so they were the last ones back (and can be seen in the following picture)

The sunset was absolutely beautiful, and while I waited for our two stragglers, I got some awesome pics.

And finally, we returned to our friend Sara's apartment for a nice quiet evening of artistic expression. Becky, Brent, and I wrote a few poems, Sara made a collage, and here's Chelsea making her own collage:
