Yay: Wheat Grass

I had the pleasant experience of coming back from ‘Spring’ Break 2k7— which comprised of days on Sunday River, Killington, and meandering along the Maine Coast—to a planter overflowing with wheatgrass.

While the health benefits of wheatgrass is continuously debated, I happen to know that it is an invincibility-inducing panacea that's great in tofu scramble, burritos, au natural, or with anything and everything else. Oh, and the wheat berries themselves—the little seed guys that grow up into the beautiful green sheaves I’ve been so fondly ruminating—can be cooked up similar to any grain; just soak ‘em overnight and boil them in water for however long you dare. Simply amazing.

For an authentic peer-reviewed article/discussion into the wholesome properties of wheatgrass, check at the oh so reliable wikipedia posting on the matter. Hit me up if you find a more reputable source of wheaty tidbits.
