Last mentoring session of the year

How did the year go by so fast? It really is boggling. Yesterday was the last official day of mentoring for the year, though I am definitely going to try and find the time to visit Shannon next week for lunch. Since it was the last day, we had a BBQ, which was quite delightful, and we had the opportunity to paint some flower pots and plant flowers!

Here's a picture of Shannon beginning to work on the flower pot. As you can see, there's a sun on there (that I painted, thank you, thank you, I know, I am an exquisite artist).

Guess what kind of flowers we planted? Yes, that's right, snapdragons (only the coolest looking flowers in the universe!)

Other than that, things have been wrapping up. I've been finishing papers and projects, and calming myself down. To fulfill this last aspect, my room mate and I played a very friendly game of one-on-one bball last night. And by friendly, I mean, we both have bruises (foul? what's a foul?), I won by a lot and bragged about it loudly for at least five minutes while members of the men's basketball team walked by (causing Ashley to laugh hysterically at me), and we both had a lot of fun.
