Unexpected Snow and Easter

We had a crazy blizzard last night. It seemed completely unnecessary, considering how melted everything is today...

Above are some of the pictures I took to show the last remnants of what was, at one point, at least five inches deep. My friend and I (being college students) decided to drive around in it and it was ridiculous! We couldn't see very well because the wind was blowing it in crazy directions, and then we went to Sara's apartment for half an hour to hang out and discuss Ben's new video game, only to discover that two inches had accumulated on the vehicle during that period of time. That's insane. And yes, it was April the 4th.

In other news, Easter break officially starts tomorrow at 5pm (or in other words, at 12:15, since that's when my last class ends!) I'm planning on heading home after a quick lunch with Becky and Brent and probably working on a paper for the rest of the evening. (I know what you're thinking-- English Education majors have all the fun... I'm actually working on an interesting paper topic, at least, in which I have to detail my philosophy of civic education. What a broad and complicated topic. Perhaps when I'm done, I'll give an update about how it turned out. As of right now, it seems it will be primarily focusing on multicultural education that incorporates teaching students to cooperate, think critically, and be open-minded. Yum.)

Anyways, this is how my break is turning out:

Saturday consists of going to my lil sister's AAU basketball tournament (YEA!) and possibly playing a game of apples-to-apples with my sis, too. (My mentee's mother ended up buying this game for me when she discovered that I enjoyed it so much, AND that I had visited them a day after my birthday. I had the biggest grin on my face when they gave it to me!)

On Sunday I will get to see my older sister for the first time since Christmas (she moved out of the house about a year ago and I've been out of the state) and my grandmother for the first time since then, as well. Excitement!

Monday involves doctor appointments (I have to get my wisdom teeth out sometime this summer...) and homework, and

Tuesday I return.

So until then,
good days.
