BECKY'S HOUSE!

Becky and I have this amazing tendency to either see each other every second of every day, or not see one another for months. So, naturally, after spending an entire two semesters next to my beloved Becky (she literally lives next door in a single-- and our two rooms are the only ones in that corner of the first floor of Cree. Oh. and did I mention I spend more time in her room than in my own???) I managed, once again, to not see her for way too long while at home. Due to the necessity of seeing her, as well as introducing Brent's cuz and friend to the gang we hang up with in that neck of the woods (she lives about 45 minutes away), we headed to Becky's house to have a little camp out.

Here's the racoon we saw the next morning. But that's neither here nor there. He's just cute.

I worked that evening, so I didn't show up until around 10ish, and as I had never driven to Becky's before, I made Evan bring me. Have I mentioned I have absolutely no sense of direction?

A bunch of people were there when we got there--many of them were Becky's friends from high school or from her old college that I had never met before, so it was pretty exciting getting to know new people. We spent the majority of the evening in her back yard and on her porch playing card games and being ridiculous with things like pictionary, while listening to loud(ish) music. To be honest, compared to our normal live music, it was actually pretty quiet (Becky used to date a member of a band and they would come over and practice whenever a larger group was hanging out there.) Her mother was nice enough to make us some pizza! and hung out with us as well.

Here's a picture of the inevitably hilarious Chad-wick. He is seriously trying to look cool with Becky's hat on. Poor Chad. :)

And another one of the Toby-man. Oh yes. Taking a picture of someone taking a picture of you never gets old. Or does it? (You can also sort of see Becky in the background. I have no idea what she is doing--perhaps choosing another cd??)

Karl never smiles. To this day, I swear I have the only real proof that he does. Go me. Maybe I'm just a little too ridiculous for him to keep up the serious front.

Oh. Payton is pretty serious, too. He didn't really want me to take a picture of him, but I really liked his linen shirt. And he's fairly photogenic to boot.

I have a couple handfuls of other photos, but those seen above were the best of the lot. The others certainly do not show any of my friends at their best, as the lighting was either completely off or they didn't want me to take the picture, and I'm sure that revenge would be had if I actually put them online. It would be pretty fun, though...

So we spent the evening playing games, etc, and we all eventually crashed in a bunch of tents that were previously set up.

And did I mention that the next morning we saw a racoon?

Yes, this is a picture of me feeding the racoon Smart Start or some odd cereal brand. And yes, I realize that I shouldn't be feeding wildlife human food. But he really enjoyed it, and Becky does it all the time, so... woops.

After watching the racoon munch on some breakfasty crunch, Becky, Evan, Karl, Payton, and I all went out to this small diner in Concord that Becky was talking about for our own breakfast. It was soo delicious, and the waitress was ridiculously nice. Oh, and just like our usual selves (Becky and I create chaos wherever we go), we decided not only to leave a 50% monetary tip, but some very very relevant advice, too, on the back of one of the paper placemats. It was great to see the waitress smile at us as we walked out. Oi. So much fun.

Until next time--

~~me.
