I've been talking to a lot of GMC alum's as a part of my work study job lately (I'm interviewing them for future articles in the GMC Bulletin). It's been so much fun discussing the similarities and differences between our experiences at GMC. The interviews usually end up becoming more like just genuine conversations, as we swap stories about the professors we have shared or the places on the river where we've hung the most. (I actually discovered from one of these conversations that there is a name for the hill out back that people like to look at the stars from. Though we have many well-known names for other parts of land behind GMC, I had never heard a name for this particular hill because it's so small. His name is Bud.)
It seems, though, that regardless of who I talk to, there is one general consensus about GMC:
The people here at GMC MAKE GMC.
And I've got the pictures to prove it.
Here's R.P (Ryan Patrick) attempting to look philosophical.

And here's Amber, my other fav. freshman doing the dishes. The lighting was really weird, so I adjusted it in photoshop to make it look like she's glowing.

And of course, my best friend Brent. Couldn't do it without him.

And my boyfriend Ev (he visited up here last weekend) and R.P looking... confused? Not so sure.

And here's Payton, another friend from down home who has joined the ranks of GMC. We fondly call him the "philosopher" (as I've mentioned before).
Needless to say, he does not enjoy people taking pictures of him. Alex ( a student of mine when I was a T.A and Brent's roommate) behind him, sucking out his brain?

And some cool kat GMCers decided to make this strange snowman. (Is it just me, or does he look like a snowalien? Those arms are wild. )

Yeah. These people have definitely made the college experience an enjoyable one. GMC is filled with so many wonderful souls that you can't help but get really close to because you... practically live with them. I know that I have never been so close to this many people in my life.
Anyways, that's that for now.
